pdpcp is a script which utilises properties of PDF to allow one to easily make (subset of pages) unreadable and unprintable.

You need perl, latex, dvips and the kpathsea environment properly configured to cal metafont for it to work. Standard latex installations on Linux machines have all of these tools. We have also succesfully tested the tool with CYGWIN.

Here are some examples of its use.

  • Original nips style file. Output is fully readable.
  • Page 1 unreadable.
  • Pages 6 & 8 unreadable.
  • Whole paper unreadable.
  • Here is the log of pdpcp doing its work when making pages 6 & 8 unreadable.
